Meta-video blogging

So, not to be out-done in the wild arms race that is Web 2.0 in the mathematical community, I decided to post some video ranting.

Incidentally, I should link to the God Plays Dice post discussing this.  I basically just stole Isabel’s point and regurgitated it in video form.  I have no regrets, except that I couldn’t use the take where my roommate’s dog intervened.  I’m afraid that might have been more interesting.  Also, I wish I didn’t smack my lips so much.

  1. So what content have you included here that wouldn’t be in a written post?

And yes, you did steal my point — but it’s a point that deserved to be made, so I don’t mind.

    Lip smacking?

My main point was I was too lazy to write that post, and yet energetic enough to make the video. Go figure.

  3. Ben,

Well, I tried to use some of your ideas, and actually submitted a video abstract to JNT. It is already up on their site. Didn’t turn out quite as well as I imagined, but at least I don’t have an unreadable blackboard.

Anyway, your post is very old so I don’t know if anyone will see this. If you guys want, I could post a longer note about the troubles of video abstracting.

    Cheers,
    Pace
